The purpose of this blog is to explain in detail how Atos provides top level IT support to MetLife. MetLife is Atos's largest account and they support all IT problems, new acquisitions, printing, and networking functions throughout the enterprise. This blog will in detail explain the operations and procedures implemented by Atos to provide their client with exemplary service.

They have provided various IT services and support to numerous clients on a contractual basis. They are a medium sized, French based operation with limitless opportunity for growth. 

As recently as 2012, Atos provided all technical support for the summer Olympic games in London. They have maintained several flagship accounts with companies such as: MetLife, AIG, JP Morgan Chase, and McGraw Hill. 

Their annual revenue in 2012 was EUR 8.8 billion, employing 76,400 individuals in 47 countries.

Company Background

Atos was created in July 1st 2011 with the merge of Atos Origin, Siemens IT Solutions, and GmbH. Growing slowly through acquisitions, outsourcing deals, staff and technology transfers, they gained major presence in the consulting segment of the IT services market. 

The groundbreaking union in 2007 occurred when Atos merged with SIS (Siemens Business Services) building a division already consisting of: SIS(Germany), Program and System Engineering (Austria), Siemens Information Ltd (India), Business Innovation Center (Switzerland) and Development Innovations and Projects (Greece) - called SIS internally (a division of Siemens AG.) Made up of two different units, the IT solutions and outsourcing services. SIS supplies a strong business technology with an extensive range of services and solutions.
